Automatic gate & barrier repair in Riyadh

Gate won't open, closes on its own or stops half-way? We repair and install sliding and swing gate operators, car-park barriers, intercoms and access control for villas, compounds and commercial sites across Riyadh.

In Riyadh, the automatic gate is usually the first line of security for a villa or compound, and it works in the hardest conditions on the property: full sun, sand blowing along the ground and heavy daily use. We repair and maintain gate operators and barriers of all common brands, and we install new automation when an old system has reached the end of its life.

Gate and barrier systems we work on

  • Sliding gate operators — ground-mounted motors with rack-and-pinion drive, from light villa gates to heavy steel compound gates.
  • Swing gate operators — ram (piston) arms, articulated arms and underground motors.
  • Car-park and compound barriers — boom barriers with loop detectors, card readers and ticket systems.
  • Access control — keypads, proximity-card readers, intercoms with door and gate release, GSM openers and remote controls.
  • Safety devices — photocells, safety edges and warning lights.

Common gate faults

  • Gate won't open or close — power, fuses, control-board failure, or a motor left in manual-release mode.
  • Gate stops part-way or reverses — photocells blocked or misaligned, obstruction detection set too sensitive, or a gate that has become hard to push.
  • Gate opens by itself — stuck remote button, interference, faulty board or input wiring.
  • Grinding or jerky movement — worn rack or pinion, sand on the track, damaged wheels or dry hinges.
  • Remotes not working — batteries, lost pairing, receiver damage.
  • Barrier arm not lifting or dropping — motor, spring balance, loop detector or control unit.

Why sliding gates fail in Riyadh

Most sliding-gate breakdowns we attend start at ground level. Wind-blown sand builds up along the track and in the rack teeth, the wheels start to drag, and the motor works harder every cycle until it trips or the gearbox wears. Strong sun also degrades plastic photocell covers and dries out grease. Keeping the track clear and the rack lubricated is the single most effective thing you can do; our dust and sand care guide shows how.

Repairs, upgrades and new installations

  • Repair: diagnosis, written quote, then repair or replacement of boards, motors, gears, racks, wheels, hinges and safety devices.
  • Upgrade: adding photocells and safety edges, battery back-up, keypads, card readers, intercoms or GSM control to existing gates.
  • Installation: new operators sized for your gate's weight and length, with correct force settings and safety devices installed and tested.

Safety on every visit

A moving gate can cause serious injury, especially to children. On every visit we check that photocells stop and reverse the gate, that the obstruction force is set correctly, and that the manual release works. If your gate has no safety devices, we'll recommend adding them.

Maintenance for villas and compounds

Gates benefit from a service every three to six months in Riyadh. Our maintenance contracts cover villas, compounds with multiple gates and barriers, and commercial sites, with priority emergency response. See our service areas for coverage.

FAQ

Common questions

The power is out and my gate is closed. How do I open it?

Almost every gate motor has a manual release, usually a key-operated lever or knob on the motor housing. Release it and the gate can be pushed by hand. Our guide on opening an automatic gate during a power cut walks you through it step by step.

My gate opens by itself. Is that dangerous?

It's a security risk rather than a safety one, but it needs attention. Common causes are a faulty remote with a stuck button, interference, a failing control board or a damaged safety sensor. Switch the motor to manual mode and call us.

Can you add remote controls, keypads or card readers to my gate?

Yes. We supply and programme remotes, keypads, proximity-card readers, intercoms with gate release, and GSM modules so residents can open the gate with a phone call.

Do you service compound and car-park barriers?

Yes. We repair and maintain barrier arms, motors, loop detectors and ticket or card systems for residential compounds, office buildings, hospitals and car parks.
