Roller shutters
Roller shutter repair & installation in Riyadh
A shutter that won't open keeps your shop closed; one that won't close leaves it exposed. We repair, motorise and install electric and manual roller shutters for shops, warehouses and homes across Riyadh.

Roller shutters protect thousands of shops, workshops and warehouses across Riyadh, and more villas are adding them to windows and garages for security and shade. They're simple and tough, but they work in harsh conditions: dust in the guide rails, direct sun on the curtain and daily use. When a shutter fails, it fails at the worst possible time, so we prioritise shutter call-outs and carry common parts in every van.
Shutters we work on
- Commercial shop shutters — galvanised steel and aluminium, solid, perforated or grille type.
- Industrial and warehouse shutters — large-span, heavy-duty curtains with chain hoists or three-phase motors.
- Garage roller doors — insulated aluminium roller doors for villas.
- Window and security shutters — aluminium shutters for homes and offices.
- Fire-rated shutters — inspection and drop testing where fitted. For certification and fire-system integration, we work alongside your fire-safety contractor.
Common shutter faults
- Shutter jammed or stuck half-way — slats jumping out of the guide rail, a bent end-lock or debris in the channel.
- Motor runs but the shutter doesn't move — a failed gearbox, a loose drive coupling or a broken spring in balanced shutters.
- Motor doesn't run — power supply, isolator, switch, remote receiver or thermal cut-out. Motors that overheat in summer often trip their thermal protection.
- Shutter drops or won't stay up — worn brake, failed spring or limit settings.
- Noisy operation — dry or sand-filled guide rails, worn bearings or a loose curtain.
- Damaged slats — dents from vehicles or forced entry attempts.
- Lock problems — worn manual locks and centre locks that no longer engage.
Repair, motorisation and installation
Repairs: we diagnose the fault, give you a written quote and carry out most repairs on the spot — re-seating the curtain, replacing slats and end-locks, changing motors or limit switches and adjusting springs.
Motorisation: we fit tubular or side-mounted motors to manual shutters, with wall switches, key switches or remote controls. Every motorised shutter we install has a manual override so you can still open it during a power cut.
New shutters: we measure, supply and install new shutters sized for your opening, with the right slat profile, guide rails and motor for the size and weight.
Keeping shutters reliable in Riyadh
Most shutter breakdowns we see start with neglect, not age. Dust and sand packed into the guide rails make the motor work harder until it overheats or the curtain jumps out of line. A cleaning and lubrication visit every few months prevents most of these failures; see our guide to dust, sand and door care. For several shutters or branches, a maintenance contract keeps every unit on a schedule.

FAQ
Common questions
My shop shutter is stuck half-way. Can I force it?
No. Forcing a jammed shutter usually bends the slats or end-locks and can tear the curtain off the barrel. Switch off the motor at the isolator, don't stand underneath it, and call us. Most jammed shutters are freed and repaired in one visit.
Can you motorise my manual shutter?
Usually, yes. Most manual spring-balanced or crank shutters can be fitted with a tubular or side-mounted motor, a wall switch or remote control, and a manual override for power cuts.
Do you work early in the morning or late at night?
Yes. We know shops need to open on time, so we schedule work outside trading hours on request and run a 24/7 emergency line for shutters that won't open or close.
Do you replace damaged slats?
Yes. We replace individual slats, bottom rails, end-locks and guide rails where possible, so you don't have to replace the whole curtain after a minor impact.
