Openers, motors & remotes
Garage door opener, motor & remote repair in Riyadh
Motor hums but the door won't move? Remote stopped working? We repair and replace garage door openers, programme remotes and keypads, and fit battery back-up so you're never locked in by a power cut.

The opener does the heavy work every time your garage door moves, often several times a day, in a garage that can reach well over 45 °C in summer. It's no surprise that motors, boards and remotes are among the most common call-outs we get. We repair and replace openers of all common brands and set them up properly, so they're safe, quiet and reliable.
Opener problems we fix
- Motor hums but the door doesn't move — often a stripped drive gear, a failed capacitor, a disengaged trolley or a door that has become too heavy because of a weak spring.
- Door stops part-way or reverses — limit and force settings, sensor alignment or a door that's binding (see why doors reverse).
- Opener doesn't respond at all — power supply, a tripped breaker, a failed control board or a damaged wall-button cable.
- Remote or keypad not working — flat batteries, lost pairing, a damaged receiver or radio interference.
- Very noisy operation — worn chain or belt, loose rail, dry or worn trolley.
- Lights or display errors — we read the error code and trace it to the cause.
- Overheating in summer — motors that cut out after a few cycles on hot afternoons.
Remotes, keypads and smart control
We supply and programme:
- Replacement and extra remotes compatible with your opener's radio system.
- Wireless keypads so family members and staff can open the door without a remote.
- Smartphone control modules for many popular openers, so you can open, close and check the door from your phone.
- Photo-eye safety sensors, added or replaced, for openers that don't have them.
New opener installation
If your opener is beyond repair, we supply and install a new one sized for your door, normally the same day if it's in stock. We recommend:
- Belt-drive openers for villas where the garage is under a bedroom — they're much quieter than chain drives.
- Soft-start and soft-stop motors that reduce wear on the door and the opener.
- Battery back-up so you can still open the door during a power cut.
- Correct force and limit setup with an auto-reverse safety test before we leave.
The Riyadh factor: heat and power
Heat is the opener's worst enemy. It shortens battery life, dries out the grease on gears and rails, and pushes motors toward their thermal cut-out. Our guide to protecting door openers in summer explains simple steps that make a real difference. And because every opener should have a working manual release, we show you where it is and how to use it on every visit.
Book a repair
Send us your opener's brand and model (usually on a label on the motor cover), or a photo on WhatsApp, and we'll often know which part is needed before we arrive. We cover every district of Riyadh; see our service areas.
FAQ
Common questions
My remote stopped working but the wall button still works. What's wrong?
Start with the battery — heat drains remote batteries quickly in Riyadh. If a new battery doesn't help, the remote may have lost its pairing, or the receiver aerial may be damaged. We can re-pair your existing remotes or supply compatible new ones.
Can you add more remotes or a keypad to my opener?
Yes. We supply and programme extra remotes, wireless keypads and, on many openers, smartphone control modules — as long as they are compatible with your opener's radio system.
Is it worth repairing an old opener?
If the motor and gearbox are sound, replacing a board, gear or sensor is usually cheaper. If the opener is old, noisy and its parts are hard to find, a new opener with a soft-start motor and battery back-up is often better value. We give you both prices.
Which opener brands do you work on?
Most brands sold in Saudi Arabia, including LiftMaster/Chamberlain, Hörmann, Nice, CAME, BFT, FAAC, Somfy, Sommer and Marantec, plus many generic openers.
